Sushi Spot Coming To Downtown Yardley

The owners of Pretty Bird Coffee in downtown Yardley are opening up a sushi place in the same spot that will be open during evenings.

YARDLEY, PA — Sushi is coming to Yardley starting this weekend, and it's going to be served at one of downtown's most popular spots to grab a cup of coffee.

Kawaii Tori is coming from the owners of Pretty Bird Coffee, which is at at 7 S. Main St. Lately, they've been shutting down the coffee shop early to get ready for plans to serve coffee in the mornings and sushi in the evenings.

Starting next week, they're having a soft opening for the sushi restaurant at the Pretty Bird location. Patrons can stop by Pretty Bird now to get tickets for the soft opening, which will be from 5-10 p.m. on Tuesday-Thursday, Oct. 9-11.

Sushi at Pretty Bird will be counter service only and beer, wine and cocktails also will be available. Every soft opening customer will get a free beer, as well as the chance to provide feedback for Kawaii Tori's official opening.

No date for the opening has been announced. Owners will be petitioning Yardley Borough's zoning board on Nov. 26 to shift Pretty Bird from retail to restaurant use from 5-10 p.m. daily, owners said in a Facebook post.
