There’s Still Time To Catch Fall Festivals Near Yardley

YARDLEY, PA — Fall is a great time to get outside in Yardley and take in the rich offering of festivals.

The changing colors of autumn provide a scenic background for fall and harvest festivals, which have contests ranging from apple bobbing and pumpkin carving to lumberjack contests and Halloween parades.

Fall is also the season for corn mazes, apple orchard and pumpkin patch visits.

There are many pumpkin patches to check out around the township.

Before you go, though, don't be surprised if pumpkin prices are on the rise.

Yardley recently held its Harvest Day festival. Plans are already starting for next year's event.

There is an autumn encampment at Washington Crossing this weekend.

Here are a few festivals and events in Yardley worth putting on the calendar:

The borough will hold its annual Halloween parade on Oct. 29.

Then there's the annual Canal-O-Ween on Oct. 30.

• The Historic Langhorne Association is hosting ghost tours through Oct. 30.
