Music Off Main Concerts Continue In Yardley

Experience Yardley has changed locations and is now calling its outdoor 2023 summer concert series Music Off Main. Shows start this weekend.

YARDLEY, PA —The borough's annual summer concert series will showcase 16 bands through the end of August. But it's also changing locations.

Music on Main is now Music Off Main.

Experience Yardley’s Music Off Main Live Summer Concert Series kicks off Saturday with Local blues band Peter V and Blues Train followed by the Philadelphia Saxophone Quartet on Sunday, June 11.

"I'm very excited. We worked very hard to present a really great lineup of performers," Experience Yardley President Elizabeth Young told Patch Friday. "I encourage people to sponsor Experience Yardley and our music events."

The outdoor music series is a free, family-friendly event with 12 Saturday shows from 6-8 p.m. and four Sunday afternoon concerts from 2-4 pm.

Rain dates for Saturday evening concerts are typically the next night, organizers said. Rain dates can be found on the Experience Yardley website at experienceyardley.com.

Back for its 8th season, this year’s performances will once again feature a diverse array of live music right in the heart of downtown Yardley Borough.

To help beat the heat, the concerts are being relocated this year under the shade trees at Buttonwood Park’s pavilion.

The other bands, in order of appearance, will be:

  • 6/17 —James Day and the Fish Fry (Zydeco)
  • 6/24 —Lewis Bros (Blue Grass)
  • 6/25 —Fermenters (Alternative Folk Rock)
  • 7/1 —Eco Del Sur (Latin & Indigenous Folk Music)
  • 7/8 —New Vintage Dixieland Band (Dixieland)
  • 7/9 —Brieann Wall (Fun singer/ songwriter for all ages)
  • 7/15 —Magdaliz and her Latin Ensemble Crisol (Traditional Latin)
  • 7/16 —Na’bodach (Irish)
  • 7/22 —De Tierra Caliente (Latin Dance Party)
  • 7/29 —Mark Margolies Band (Contemporary Blues)
  • 8/5 —Hillbilly Tie Dye Dance party (Bluegrass Jam Band)
  • 8/12 —Mikey Jr (Yardley’s own Blues harp)
  • 8/19 —Ja-Tun and Random Acts of Soul (R&B, Soul)
  • 8/26 —Stella Ruze (acclaimed Philly Folk Rock)

Concertgoers are encouraged to visit Yardley’s downtown shops, eateries, and bars while enjoying the music.

From burgers and pizza to lobster and sushi, there is no scarcity of delicious food, beverages, or treats to savor in the picnic-like atmosphere of the park. Folding chairs or blankets are recommended.

Music Off Main is free and open to the public thanks to the robust support of Visit Bucks County and the PA Cultural Alliance; local businesses, individual music enthusiasts; the Yardley Police Department, and the Yardley Borough staff and council.
