Rhode Island Governor Makes Pick For Cannabis Control Commission Chair

The nominee has been submitted to the state Senate for advice and consent.

PROVIDENCE, RI — Rhode Island Gov. Dan McKee has named his pick to chair the state's Cannabis Control Committee.
McKee's nominee, Michelle A. Reddish, has been submitted to the state Senate for advice and consent.

If confirmed by the state Senate, Reddish would replace former chairperson Kim Ahern, who stepped down in October.
McKee nominated Reddish to serve as the first administrator of the Rhode Island Cannabis Office in 2024, according to a media release from the governor's office.
