Check out which is the most forgetful New England state, and not too impressive on a national level either.

| Updated

Rhode Island ranks among the top in America when it comes to acute memory, according to a recent study.

The analysis, conducted by the researchers at online crypto casino and sportsbook DuelBits, examined "each state against seven forgetful-related factors, including sleep, sleeping pills, alcohol consumption, stress levels, unread messages, and searches for forgotten passwords and misplaced items, to reveal which states are the most forgetful nationwide," according to a media release.

"Our study highlights that forgetfulness is due to a combination of factors, as lack of sleep, high levels of stress, and drinking too much alcohol can cause people to forget an important task they needed to do or misplace important items," a DuelBits spokesperson said in the release.

"Massachusetts stood out in New England due to its high levels of stress, unread messages, and alcohol consumption," the spokesperson said. "At the other end of the scale, Maine's residents appear to be considerably more organised and less prone to forgetfulness than their regional neighbours.”
