Workers haev also gone two years without a raise, Ogilvie said, but some will receive one in January when Rhode Island raises the minimum wage.

"If they want to call themselves the No. 1 airport in the U.S., people shouldn't be making the minimum wage," Ogilvie said.

The workers are striking against Grove Bay Concessions.

The Miami-based company runs a Dunkin', a Burger King and a Spring House Seafood Grill at the airport, among other restaurants, according to its website.

Local 26 has 73 members, Ogilvie said, and all 73 participated in the strike.
