Rhode Island remains under flood watch but the clouds are expected to clear.
The flood watch remains in effect until 2 p.m. Tuesday with the National Weather Service warning of, "Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible," and, "Excessive runoff (that) may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations."
There is a chance of showers Tuesday night after the flood watch expires but clouds will decrease Wednesday as the high temperature reaches 80 degrees, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Thursday will be mostly sunny with a high around 83 but there is a slight chance of thunderstorms Thursday night as the low drops to 67.
There is a chance of showers again Friday with the high reaching 88 degrees and a chance of still more showers Friday night as the low drops to 68.
