More smoky skies will start Rhode Island's weekend and will be replaced by rain.
Friday night will have areas of smoke and a low temperature of 64 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
There will be more smoke before 2 p.m. Saturday, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 3-4 p.m. and another possible thunderstorm after 4 p.m.
The National Weather Service forecast calls for a high near 78.
Saturday night will have more showers and a possible thunderstorm, with rainfall accumulation of 1 to 2 inches and a low temperature of 69.
Sunday will have a chance of more showers before 7 a.m. but then turn sunny as the high reaches 78 degrees.
A mostly clear Sunday night's low temperature drops to 62 degrees.
The work week starts with a sunny Monday as the high climbs to 81 and a light, variable wind blows at 5 to 9 mph.
