PROVIDENCE, RI — A Rhode Island state senator is hosting an expungement clinic.
State Sen. Dawn Euer, D-Newport and Jamestown, is hosting the expungement clinic and resource fair along with the Rhode Island Public Defender's Office.
The event is from 5-8 p.m. at the Community College of Rhode Island's Newport campus.
"Support for Rhode Islanders with criminal convictions in their past, including legal expungement, not only helps these individuals to rebuild full and productive lives, but also reduces recidivism while contributing to safer, healthier and more productive communities across our state," Euer said in a media release.
"I'm proud to work with the Public Defender's office and so many other wonderful organizations that do this important work to help those with criminal records successfully reintegrate into society by bringing all these resources into one convenient location here in Newport," Euer said.
