Taylor Swift has reportedly donated $50,000 to a mom injured while helping motorists after a crash.
"Taylor Swift is helping out a woman who was hit by a car while helping teens whose own vehicle hydroplaned on a rainy day — an act of bravery spotlighted in PEOPLE last week," a People Magazine story said.
"Ashley Taunton, a married mother of three, was driving on I-95 in Hopkinton during a torrential rainstorm on July 18 when she saw a car in front of her hydroplane off the road," NBC reported.
"While she was assisting another vehicle hydroplaned and came hurtling directly toward them," Taunton's GoFundMe said. "In a split-second act of pure bravery, Ashley pushed the other person out of harm's way, taking the brunt of the impact herself."
Taunton was on her way to physical therapy when she learned of Swift's donation, WPRI reported
"I was in disbelief," she said in the WPRI story. "It was mind-blowing and just a huge testament to how God uses so many people to be a blessing."
