MA Man Wanted On Fugitive From Justice Charge Arrested In Rhode Island: Cops

A Massachusetts man wanted on a fugitive from justice charge was arrested in Rhode Island, police said.

Michael Jensen Carter, 39, was arrested Sept. 16 by the Rhode Island State Police Adult Correctional Institutions Investigations Unit, the state police said in a media release.

Carter, a resident of Wilmington, was wanted as a fugitive from justice in Massachusetts, according to the release.

"The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Department of Corrections Records and Identification Unit and the ACI Investigations Unit," the release said.

"Mr. Jensen Carter was arraigned at Third Division District Court where he waived extradition proceedings and was remanded into the custody of the Sheriff's Department pending his return to Massachusetts," according to the release.
