LINCOLN, RI — A Michael Jackson impersonator is appearing in Rhode Island this weekend.
Jalles Franca, who bills himself as "MJ THE LEGEND," takes the stage Saturday night at Bally's Event Center in Lincoln.
"Jalles has won numerous contests for 'Best Michael Jackson Impersonator,' Best overall 'look' and 'Best Moonwalk,'" Bally's Lincoln casino said in its promotion of the all-ages show.
"Experience this awesome, theatrical stage production with its powerful sound, spectacular lighting, visual effects, team of dancers and live band on stage taking audiences back to when the King of Pop ruled the charts," the casino said on its website.
Franca moved to the United States from Brazil when he was 16, according to MJ Live website.
"Soon after the passing of his idol, Jalles began dedicating his talents to pay tribute to the late Superstar," the site said.
"Billing himself as "MJ THE LEGEND" Jalles has thrilled audiences at private and corporate events, festivals and tribute shows throughout Las Vegas, Hollywood, Dubai and more," according to the site.
Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m.
Tickets can be had for as low as $32.45, including fees.
