Commission Accepting Applications For Rhode Island Inspector General
The deadline to apply for Rhode Island's first-ever inspector general job is Aug. 21.
PROVIDENCE, RI — If you're interested in becoming Rhode Island's first-ever inspector general, the deadline to apply is Aug.21
The five-member Inspector General Independent Advisory Commission announced it was accepting applications for the newly created position, according to a press release from the state.
"Following two public meetings to determine the application process, job description, and salary range, the Inspector General Independent Advisory Commission ... published the job posting on the State of Rhode Island's External Career Site," the release said.

After the application period ends at 4 p.m. Aug. 21, the commission will select three nominees to forward to the governor for consideration, according to the release.
The process is scheduled to conclude Sept. 28.
