Evidence Sought In RI Crash That Killed 1, Critically Injured Others
Immediately following the crash, police said they found a gray Subaru Legacy on the road and a green Nissan in the front lawn of a home.
EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — Police are asking for the public's help in providing information relating to a deadly crash that occurred in East Providence Aug. 18.
The crash, which claimed the life of a 24-year-old from Pawtucket and seriously injured two others, occurred just before 8 p.m. Friday on Pawtucket Avenue near the intersection of Catlin Avenue, police said in a news release Wednesday.
Immediately following the crash, officers found a 2018 gray Subaru Legacy on the roadway and a neon green Nissan in the front lawn of a home, police said.

According to police, the Nissan was being driven by 27-year-old Andrew Crenshaw, who was listed in critical condition as of the East Providence Police Department's last update. His brother, 24-year-old Jacob Crenshaw, was his passenger. Jacob Crenshaw died at the hospital following the crash, police said.
The Subaru was being driven by a 22-year-old from Providence, who was in stable condition as of the last update, according to police.

No charges have been filed as of the department's latest update, though police said the current investigation and witnesses have indicated that speed could be a factor.
