Man Dies In DUI Crash In Lincoln, MA Man Arrested: RI State Police

A 22-year-old man from Ashland, Massachusetts, died in the New Year's Eve crash, Rhode Island State Police said.

LINCOLN, RI — A man from Massachusetts was arrested after Rhode Island State Police said he drove intoxicated and crashed, killing his front-seat passenger.

Christopher Vincent, age 25, of Watertown, Massachusetts, was arrested on the morning of New Year's Eve and charged with driving under the influence of liquor or drugs with death resulting.

Just after 2:30 a.m. State Police and Lincoln fire officials were called to a crash on Route 145 northbound, just north of Route 116.

State Police said Vincent was heading north on Route 146 before losing control and striking the middle guard rail head-on, as he tried to get to the access portion of Route 146. The front seat passenger died as a result of his injuries, State Police said. They identified him as William Molly, 22 of Ashland, Massachusetts.

Other charges Vincent faced included driving under the influence of liquor or drugs, serious bodily injury, driving to endanger, with death resulting and driving to endanger, resulting in personal injury.
