North Providence Man Robs Gas Station At Knifepoint: Police

Police said Milton Thomas, 52, of North Providence stole $205 from a Speedway Gas Station.

NORTH PROVIDENCE, RI — A North Providence man was arrested Thursday after police said he robbed a gas station at knifepoint.

Milton Thomas, 52, was charged with first degree armed robbery.

Police said the robbery happened around 11 p.m. Wednesday at the Speedway Gas Station on Mineral Spring Avenue. According to police, Thomas pulled a knife on the store clerk and demanded money from the cash register. Police said Thomas stole about $205.

Police said they used store security footage to identify Thomas and later arrest him.

He was scheduled to be arraigned at the Kent County Courthouse.
