North Tiverton Fire District Water Plan Update Seeks Public Input

Rhode Island Department of Health invites residents to review and comment.

The Rhode Island Department of Health is seeking public comment on the 2025 North Tiverton Fire District Clean Water Infrastructure Replacement Plan update. The North Tiverton Fire District developed this update.

This CWIRP update is being noticed in accordance with Chapter 46-15.6 of the General Laws of Rhode Island and the "Clean Water Infrastructure Plan" Regulations (216-RICR-50-05-7). The updated document and map are available for review. Copies of the CWIRP can be obtained by calling RIDOH's Center for Drinking Water Quality at 401-222-6867 on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Interested parties can also email DOH.RIDWQ@health.ri.gov to request a copy. All materials submitted for review are available for public inspection at RIDOH, Center for Drinking Water Quality, Three Capitol Hill, Room 209, Providence, RI 02908. Inspection hours are weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Written comments on the proposed plan should be sent to the Center for Drinking Water Quality at the Providence address or emailed to DOH.RIDWQ@health.ri.gov. Comments must be submitted within thirty days of the notice date. A public hearing will be held if requested by 25 persons, a governmental agency, or an association with at least 25 members. Requests for a public hearing must be made within ten days of the published notice.

Such hearing requests should be sent to the Center for Drinking Water Quality via mail or email. If RIDOH receives a request by 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 16, 2026, a public hearing will take place on Feb. 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. The hearing location will be the RIDOH Auditorium, Three Capitol Hill, Providence, Rhode Island 02908.

RIDOH advises interested persons to contact the department to confirm if a hearing will be held. The hearing location is accessible to individuals with disabilities. Interpreter services for the hearing impaired and audiotapes for the visually impaired will be provided upon request. For communication assistance, individuals can call Rhode Island Relay (TTY) at 711 or 800-745-5555 at least 48 hours in advance.
