Police Looking For Missing Warwick Woman

Warwick police said Charlotte Lester, 44, was last seen May 16 and was reported missing after failing to call her friends for several days.

WARWICK, RI — Police have asked for the public's help finding a missing Warwick woman.

Warwick police said Charlotte Lester, 44, was last seen around 10 p.m. on May 16 in the Apponaug area. Lester was reported missing Thursday, after she failed to contact her friends for several days, police said. Police said Lester's dog was also found abandoned on Elmwood Avenue Wednesday night.

Warwick police said Lester is about 5 feet, 7 inches tall, has a slim to medium build, has brown eyes, spotty balding or brown hair and may change her appearance when she wears wigs.

Police are also looking for Lester's vehicle, a 2006 red Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, with a black front bumper and aftermarket rims, possibly bearing a Rhode Island plate with the registration number 1IL194.

In relation to this investigation, Warwick police said they executed a search warrants at a home on Staples Avenue in Warwick. This is an address Lester was known to frequent, police said. At this time, no other information was immediately available.
