Rhode Island Congressman Slams Trump Picking Bill Pulte For National Intelligence Director
U.S. Rep. Gabe Amo said Pulte's only qualification was "loyalty to Donald Trump."
Rhode Island Congressman Gabe Amo slammed the selection of Bill Pulte for National Intelligence Director.
“Bill Pulte has no expertise in national security or intelligence operations," Amo said in a statement released Tuesday.
"His only qualification is loyalty to Donald Trump," Amo said. "As head of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, he abused his power and tried to use mortgage data to go after Trump's critics."

Amo called the appointment "dangerous" and said it "makes Americans less safe.”
"Politicizing the work of the intelligence community weakens our national security," Amo said.
