Rhode Island General Assembly Cancels Sessions, Committee Hearings Tuesday
Both chambers plan to meet at 4 p.m. Thursday
PROVIDENCE, RI — The Rhode Island Senate and the Rhode Island House of Representatives canceled their Tuesday sessions and committee meetings due to Monday’s blizzard, according to an announcement from the State House.
Both chambers plan to meet at 4 p.m. Thursday.

In the House, agendas for canceled hearings are expected to be reposted for Tuesday, March 3, when possible. Additional bills may be added. The Finance Committee hearing scheduled for Tuesday will be held at a later date, while the panel’s meeting set for 4 p.m. Wednesday will proceed as planned.

In the Senate, Tuesday’s floor calendar will move to Thursday’s session. Agendas for the Senate Judiciary Committee and the Senate Health and Human Services Committee will also shift to Thursday at the rise of the chamber.

Because the Senate Finance Committee already has a Thursday agenda, its Tuesday hearing will be rescheduled to a later date.
