Rhode Island Workers Join Teamsters Union
The workers are employed by RelaDyne in North Kingstown, according to the Teamsters.
NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — A group of 33 Rhode Island workers joined the Teamsters, the union announced.
The workers are employed by RelaDyne in North Kingstown, the Teamsters said in a media release.
“We’re proud to welcome these determined new members to the Teamsters. Our organizing team knocked it out of the park,” Matt Taibi, secretary-treasurer of Local 251 and Teamsters Eastern Region International vice president, said in the release.

“They stood together, stayed strong, and won the representation they deserve, Taibi said.”
"The newly organized bargaining unit includes drivers, warehouse workers, maintenance technicians, equipment supervisors, dispatchers, and control specialists who serve customers throughout New England," according to the release. "They deliver diesel exhaust fuel, lubricants, coolants, oils, and other fuel-related products."
