RHODE ISLAND — Rhode Island had a comfortable start to the week, but Ocean State residents will soon start to feel more seasonable warmth, as temperatures bump into the 80s Friday and continue rising throughout the weekend.

Thursday will remain a comfortable middleman, with temperatures lingering around the mid-70s, and some areas more inland might approach 80 by the late afternoon, according to AccuWeather.

There is potential for a few scattered sprinkles and showers that are likely to completely disappear by Saturday, when temperatures are likely to reach 90 degrees in some areas both Saturday and Sunday.
