Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued In Rhode Island
Wind gusts could reach close to 30 mph, and there's also a slight chance of large hail.
RHODE ISLAND — A cold front is expected to sweep through Rhode Island Tuesday evening, bringing with it potentially severe thunderstorms and damaging wind gusts, according to the National Weather Service.
Both AccuWeather and NWS forecasted a warm and humid Tuesday afternoon, with storms likely this evening across Rhode Island. Wind gusts could reach close to 30 mph, and there's also a slight chance of large hail.
The storms are expected to build in western Massachusetts before shifting east and south towards Rhode Island. Around 6 p.m., they're expected to only be north of the Mass Pike in Worcester. The storms are then expected to weaken before getting into the Boston and eventually the Rhode Island area around 8 p.m. Mostly all storm activity is expected to end overnight, welcoming a dry and warm Wednesday.

Thursday will bring the potential for more showers, maybe even thunderstorms, throughout the day and into the night.
Friday is expected to be sunny and clear, ranging in the 80s throughout Rhode Island.
