5 Things to Know About This Week

What’s coming up in Barrington this week, Sept. 17-23, that you should know about for your calendar.

1. The Housing Board of Trustees, with its primary focus being affordable housing in Barrington, meets Tuesday, Sept. 18, at 7 pm in the Barrington library to review several proposed housing projects, including on Sowams Road and Chachapacasset Road.
2. The Police Cove Park Committee reconvenes on Tuesday, Sept. 18, at 7 pm in the Council Chamber in Town Hall to go over the design of the park after walking it last Thursday evening.
3. The organizational meeting of Barrington’s new Townwide Trails Team starts at 7 pm in the Council Chamber in Town Hall.
4. An immigration scholar and lawyer, Irene Scarf, will discuss immigration policy in the United States on Thursday, Sept. 20 at 7 pm in the Barrington Public Library auditorium -- the third session of the "Take Six: Election Issues of 2012" series.
5. The summer is winding down but the Go Local Farmers’ Market continues at the Barrington Congregational Church on Saturday, Sept. 22, from 9 am to noon.
