• What happened to Barrington's coyotes? (eastbayri.com) — Barrington residents have noticed that the coyotes once commonly seen around town, from Hampden Meadows side streets to Barrington High School fields, have largely disappeared since last winter's harsh blizzard. A local coyote tracker and a state wildlife biologist explain how tough conditions, disease, and changing food sources may have killed or displaced the animals, which has coincided with more rabbits around town.
   

• Which South County area high school graduates will take part in games in the week starting Monday, Sept. 7? (southcotimes.com) — Two former Barrington High School standouts, Alex and Ben McClelland of Barrington, are among several South County–area graduates suiting up for college football games starting Saturday, Sept. 12.
