Barrington Ballers take down Easton Decisively

It didn’t take long for the Barrington 6th Grade “Blue Team” to get back on track, posting a solid 52-31 victory over Easton MA on Sunday Dec. 22.  Every local player on the floor scored in this matchup of Metro West rivals.

Guard/Forward Ryan Bonneau got the Eagles off to fast start, scoring all 9 of his points in the first half with some speedy drives and popping a three-pointer.  Easton had a clear size advantage in the middle, but Forward Jon Adamson played tough on the boards and beat them down the court in transition to finish with 10 points.  Forward Andrew Monti also played one of his strongest defensive games to date, ripping down rebounds and preventing Easton from getting off easy shots.

Barrington settled into a groove after taking a 21-13 lead into the locker room at the half.  Point Guard Will Rywolt found his shot in the 3rd quarter, scoring all of his game-high 13 points, including three 3-pointers.  As Easton tried to press, the speedy Eagles opened up the floor with fast breaks and scored at will, with Center Matt Peecher pounding in 6 points.  Guard Drew Vatter hit a couple of smooth shots to add 4 points, as did tenacious Guard Sam Tanous, who hounded Easton’s ball handlers and caused a bunch of turnovers and bad shots.  As always, the locals got dependable play from Guard/Forward Brandon Conaty, who dropped four points while grabbing a ton of rebounds and causing several turnovers.
