Barrington Print Shop Owner Recognized for 'Top Quality'

A Barrington franchise print shop owner was recognized for outstanding craftsmanship and quality at a recent international convention.

Marc Frechette, who owns Minuteman Press of Seekonk, received a “top quality award” at the company’s World Expo 2011 held in Las Vegas, Nev.  He was the only owner in New England to receive the award.

The award recognizes the excellent skills necessary to maintain the high printing standards set by Minuteman Press International, Inc., according to the company. Minuteman Press is the largest print franchise in the world.

Franchise owners are evaluated for this award, according to Minuteman Press, by using client feedback and corporate quality assessment. Each Minuteman Press is locally owned and operated.

The business is a second-generation family-owned firm. Frechette’s father started the company in 1989.

Minuteman Press of Seekonk is described as a full-service print and copy shop serving the entire East Bay. Frechette took over ownership from his father five years ago.  

“We have a dynamic staff that’s committed to continuous improvement on quality and service,” Frechette said.  

He added that he plans to implement additional training programs on equipment and operations for his staff of five.  

“You can¹t have cutting-edge graphic design, digital print and copy technology without the trained personnel to operate it,” he said.  

The print shop also has traditional offset presses that have not changed technologically over the years.

“So our operators have to be extremely versatile,” he said.

The print shop is located at 1200 Fall River Ave.
