Barrington's In Bloom This Week

The first 'Barrington Blooms' storefront decorating contest is underway; a 'Blooms, Bubbles and Bistro' food-tasting fundraiser is Thursday.

Barrington is blooming this week. 

The first-ever “Barrington Blooms” storefront-decorating contest started Saturday and runs through this Saturday, April 27. You can vote for your favorite storefront on Patch.

The week-long event sponsored by the Barrington Business Association also includes a food-tasting fundraiser, “Blooms Bubbles and Bistro,” on Thursday evening, April 25.

Many Barrington restaurants and eateries will serve up some of their best tastes of the town at Grapes & Grains on Bosworth Street from 6 to 8 pm. Here is the list so far and the food to be served: 

  • Billy's -- goat cheese crostini
  • Tyler Point Grille -- Arancini (panko fried wild mushroom risotto)
  • Trendy's -- pizza
  • Mangia Neapolitan Pizza -- pizza
  • Casual Catering -- calzones
  • Bagels Etc. -- bagel/wrap sandwiches
  • Sweet Shoppe -- mini cupcakes
  • Vienna Bakery -- pastries
  • Pizzico – to be determined
