Barrington's Horne Named Associate Dean at Providence College School of Business
Dr. Daniel R. Horne is also an editor of the Journal of Consumer Affairs.

A Barrington resident and professor of marketing has been appointed to serve as associate dean at Providence College School of Business.
Dr. Daniel R. Horne will work on the school’s “maintenance of The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation, support tenure-stream and contract faculty, and engage closely with the Curriculum and Intellectual Contributions committees of the PCSB. He will continue teaching in the Marketing Department at PC,” according to a release.
Previously, he served as chair of the Marketing Department and coordinator for faculty development during the PCSB’s initial AACSB accreditation period. In addition, Horne has served the College recently as a member of the Faculty Status and and as chair of the provost’s committee that studied the sustainability of the PCSB’s enrollment trends.

Horne received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan, a master’s degree in business administration from Saginaw Valley State University and a doctorate in marketing from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He is an accomplished scholar and an award-winning teacher. He is an internationally recognized expert in global consumer payments systems and behavior and is an editor of the Journal of Consumer Affairs.
