Bomb Threat at Barrington High School

The school has been evacuated.

BARRINGTON, RI - Barrington police and firefighters gathered at Barrington High School on Monday after a bomb threat that led to an evacuation and school being canceled for the day.

The threat was called in at around noon, according to police, and the Rhode Island State Police along with Barrington police responded to the school.

The threat comes after a 16-year-old Newport juvenile was charged with 15 counts for repeated bomb threats to Rogers High School and other schools and businesses across Rhode Island.
