Safety of Gel Polish

Safety of Gel Polish

There has been some news reporting questioning the safety of UV-cured polish.

The wattage of the UV nail lamps is so low that a 3-minute exposure once every two weeks is not enough to cause any damage or premature aging to the skin.

The UV lamps use a UVA emission light to cure the polish. Not UVA and UVB as reported.

If you are at all concerned about the safety, we at Avessa use LED lights to cure the polish. LED lights have a light emitting diode that does not emit any UVA or UVB waves of any kind.
