Businesses Pick Barrington to Launch
More than 50 new businesses opened their doors in Barrington since the start of last year with others ready to launch soon.

Borelli's Bakery opened its doors in West Barrington on Friday morning, Jan. 27. It is among the more than 50 businesses that opened their doors in Barrington since the beginning of last year.
Barrington’s very first liquor store, Brickyard Wine & Spirits; Serenity Nail Salon and Spa in the same Waseca Avenue plaza; the Style Unleashed pet boutique; and Madigan’s Cafe on County Road are among the businesses that opened in Barrington in 2011.
And the pace continues in 2012.

Several other businesses are planning to open in the near future, including Barrington’s second liquor store, Grapes and Grains on Bosworth Street and The Sweet Shoppe, a specialty cake baking shop on Waseca Avenue.
The RI Secretary of State’s office reports 47 the new businesses in a report that lists yearly openings, according to eastbayri.com. The report does not list every opening, though, such as the pet boutique and cafe.

The number of businesses listed in the report does show, though, that despite a poor economy, many entrepreneurs are out there. And many of them are choosing to set up shop in Barrington.
