Nine Barrington businesses cited by RI Monthly magazine as 'best of' in East Bay.
Nine Barrington businesses received some statewide recognition recently.
The businesses were cited by Rhode Island Monthly magazine as “best of” award winners in the East Bay in the publication’s 19th annual competition. All 340 winners statewide are published in the magazine’s August issue.

Along with their recognition, the owners of the businesses were invited to attend a recognition party at the Providence Performing Arts Center on July 26. Matt Amaral, who owns Grapes & Grains in Barrington, attended the event and provided this response:
“The VIP party was a blast and the reception afterwards was incredible,” Amaral wrote in an email. “The energy in the Performing Arts Center was amazing, hundreds of R.I. entrepreneurs feeling really good about their businesses.

“PPAC is an amazing venue and to be able to dance on the stage or eat an oyster in the vestibule was an experience,” he wrote. “The Ocean State has a lot of great restaurants, shops and activities. It is wonderful that Barrington businesses were recognized and acknowledged.”
