CSEB Collaborates with JWU Students and Produced a Great Cooking Show
Johnson & Wales Students Are Making a "splash" in Our Community! Their Collaboration with CSEB Produced a Great Cooking Show!

CSEB’s collaboration with JWU Students produced a great Cooking Show on September 26th. CSEB wanted its community to experience the Chinese culture through food. The Show specifically featured three dishes and a preparation of Chinese tea for guests. The dishes were: 1) Fried potatoes with Spicy hot jalapeno 2) Chicken wings marinated in Chinese spices and soy sauce 3) Chinese porridge with preserved duck eggs. Each of the dishes can be cooked and prepared within 30 minutes, which is simple enough for an average family to prepare. They do not require commercial and specialized appliances and cooking utensils – making it possible for very busy individual or family to eat on a daily basis. The tea preparation is a bit more elaborate because most Americans use tea bag. The tea preparation involved Chinese tea pots and cups and was brewed in water for a bit longer than most people would with their tea bag because whole tea leaves were used. Nonetheless, the tea is fresh and flavorful. If you enjoy a cup of fresh brewed tea, the flavor was unforgettable!
