Elmer L. Parrott, 92
Parrott was an active member of St. Matthew and Mark Episcopal Church in Barrington.
Elmer L. Parrott, of Glenrose Drive, Riverside, a former Barrington resident, died on Dec. 18, 2012 at Waterview Villa Nursing Home, East Providence. He was 92.
He was the husband of LaVon (White) Parrott. He was born in Andover, Maine, the son of the late Ralph and Gladys (Remington) Parrott.

He was a program manager at Raytheon of Portsmouth from 1960 until 1990. He attended the Luscombe School of Aeronautics in 1938 and 1939, was a World War II Navy Veteran, and was an active member of St. Matthew and Mark Church in Barrington.
Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Cathrine Thomas of North Carolina, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday Dec. 29, at 2 pm in St. Matthew and Mark Church, 5 Chapel Road, Barrington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Visiting Nurses of RI, 6 Blackstone Valley Place, Suite 515, Lincoln, RI 02865 and St. Matthew and Mark Church, 5 Chapel Road, Barrington, RI 02806, would be appreciated. Smith-Mason Funeral Home in East Providence is handling arrangements.
