Join Rhode Island publisher Jim Dyer for a talk on C.M. Eddy, Jr., Providence writer and friend of Harry Houdini and H.P. Lovecraft.
C.M. Eddy, Jr. wrote macabre fiction and mystery tales for pulp magazines, including Weird Tales, in the 1920s. He and his wife were good friends with H.P. Lovecraft, and Eddy also worked as a ghost-writer and a scout and investigator for Harry Houdini. Dyer will talk about Eddy's friendships and career and will also read from his terrifying tales.
