Just in time for harvest time and Halloween festivities, Noah's Ark Christian Preschool will be hosting a Pumpkin Patch October 16th through the 31st, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Barrington United Methodist Church, 98 Algonquin Road (at Route 59) in Barrington! The sale, featuring a huge variety of outstanding "Pumpkins U.S.A." pumpkins, miniatures, and more, will benefit Noah's Ark's planned Nature Explore Classroom, an outdoor education center.
Children engaged in authentic play in an outdoor classroom develop important skills that are foundational for early learning. Noah's Ark's goal is to create a special place where children may experience nature in their "home away from home" pre-school turf! The 6,300 square foot site will include building, music, nature art, messy materials, dirt digging, climbing, crawling, and gathering areas, sure to engage all learning styles! The Nature Explore Program is a joint effort and collaboration of Arbor Day Foundation, Dimensions Educational Research Foundation, U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, American Society of Landscape Architects, and others committed to "reconnecting children with nature."
Noah's Ark Christian Preschool and Kindergarten Classes are for two through six year olds (by September 1st) in Barrington United Methodist Church's wonderful facility at 98 Algonquin Road (at Route 59) in Barrington. A ministry of BUMC, Noah's Ark is located in the education wing of the church. For more information on the pumpkin sale, Nature Explore Classroom, and/or Noah's Ark, please call (847) 844-3738.
