Family First for Bridal Shop Owner

A Warren bridal shop run by a Barrington woman is closing its doors, and that spells huge deals for brides-to-be.

Weddingbelle NYC, at 486 Main St. in Warren, is shutting down this month after seven years in town. Owner Erica Manzotti, of Barrington, said she made the difficult decision to close the business in order to spend more time with her family, which includes three young children.

"I had baby number thee, and after, it got a little more hectic," Manzotti said as she was getting ready for one child's preschool graduation Thursday. "For a while I could take them to the shop ... I have a little play area here, but it got a little crazy. I just decided it's better to spend a little more time at home."

The store's closing means excellent deals for soon-to-be brides, bridesmaids, and anyone else loooking for some high fashion for any special occasion.

Manzotti said she is discounting everything in the store — wedding gowns, special event dresses, accessories, etc — by 50 to 75 percent. Manzotti will hold "farewell sales" at the shop on June 2, 3, 9 and 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"The prices are ridiculous," she said. "I'm just trying to get all the inventory out."

Manzotti said the closing is "bitter-sweet." She said she loves Warren and loves owning the shop in town, but decided family comes first. But this may not be the last the area sees of the popular bridal shop.

"My brain is already starting to think of what I would do differently next time around," Manzotti said. "I love Warren. I love working with the brides. It's definitely something I'd be interested in doing in the future."
