Full Channel to Air, Stream Parade

East Bay cable company teams up with Bristol Town Council to offer coverage of the parade on TV and streaming video via internet.

None of the local TV stations are broadcasting the Bristol Fourth of July parade this year. But don’t fret if you can’t make the parade.

You won’t have to miss a minute of the procession, according to Full Channel TV and the Town of Bristol. They are teaming up to televise the parade live with the help of local volunteers.

Levi C. Maaia, vice president of Full Channel, says that a group of public access television videographers and producers organized by the Bristol Town Council will produce the event live for cable television.

“This is the first year in recent memory that none of the local broadcast TV stations are covering the parade live. We are very thankful to the volunteers who are willing to help fill the gap by producing this for the Town,” said Bristol Town Council Chairman Kenneth A. Marshall.

Full Channel will be providing the live television connection from downtown Bristol, to local public-access television and live online streaming.

“When the town asked if Full Channel could step in to help keep this Bristol tradition on TV, we were happy to provide our support,” Maaia said.

Coverage of the parade will begin Monday, July 4, at approximately 11:30 am from the viewing stand on channel 9 for Full Channel’s cable television customers in Barrington, Warren and Bristol.

The parade will stream worldwide at www.fullchannel.net.
