Pumpkin Junction Fair
Where/When: Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm at St. John’s Episcopal Church, County Road.
Why go: Pick out your pumpkin, and enjoy this fall family fair that features crafts vendors, children’s games, foods, music and more. This event was postponed from last Saturday, Oct. 1.

British Crown Film Series
Where/When: Barrington Library at 1 pm Friday, Oct. 7
Why go: See the 1969 film classic, “Anne of the Thousand Days,” a memorable tale of the ill-fated Anne Boleyn, who lost her head over her husband, King Henry VIII.

Giant Pumpkin Championship and Drop
Where/When: Frerichs Farm, 43 Kinnicutt Ave., Warren at 11 am Saturday
Why go: It’s the 18th annual pumpkin weigh-off as Frerichs searches out the largest pumpkin around. The popular pumpkin drop is at 11:30 am. Other events and happenings include pumpkin-painting booths for the kids, seasonal arts and crafts, food and more. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the day at the farm.

Bristol Sidewalk Sales and Art Stroll
Where/When: Hope St. downtown Bristol, Friday through Sunday, 10 am to 6 pm
Why go: Following up on the success of their April sale, Bristol’s downtown merchants are holding fall sidewalk sales event to coincide with the Art Stroll, Sunday beginning at noon -- a chance to see what’s new in Bristol’s growing number of art galleries.
