Girls Charged with Vandalism for Mustard-Squirting Senior Prank

The girls from Barrington High School were charged with vandalism for spraying mustard on lockers.

Two Barrington High School students were charged with vandalism Friday after a senior prank caused damage to school property.

Barrington police charged Teia M. Chenevert, 18; and Isabella N. Maclea with vandalism for the alleged incident, which involved the spraying of mustard on a series of lockers at the school.

A staff member saw the girls spraying the mustard, EastBayRI.com reported, and police also noted that the incident was caught on surveillence cameras.

Though Barrington High School historically sees pranks on “Senior Prank Day,” in this case, the mustard caused damage to the paint on the lockers and walls.

A third, unidentified girl, has not been charged.

Barrington Police Chief John LaCrosse told the newspaper that the case might end up transferred to Municipal Court.

In a tweet, Chenevert gave a “shoutout” for “pressing charges against me for putting mustard on underclassmens lockers on senior prank day [sic]”
