Girls Come Out 'Boston Strong'
The girls' softball team at Barrington High School dedicates Monday's game to the people most affected by the Boston Marathon bombing.
The girls’ softball team at Barrington High School wore special tie-dyed “Boston Strong” shirts for Monday’s game against Cumberland.
Their numbers were duct-taped to the backs of their shirts.
“We wanted some way to help The One Fund Boston,” said junior Rebecca Egge, who came up with the idea of dedicating Monday’s game to the people most affected by the Boston Marathon bombing – the purpose of the fund.

“We're putting out a donation box for anyone who wants to contribute,” Rebecca said before the game. “Donations will go to The One Fund.”
The girls also spent some of their pre-game time attaching the number “617” -- the Boston area code -- in crepe paper to the chain-link fences along the sidelines.
