Go Au Pair Gives Back All Over!

Have you heard of Go Au Pair? We are a Department of State-designated agency to sponsor international au pairs with you, their American Host Family!

Some of my counterparts have been giving back in their communities! Tessa, from Minneapolis, recently volunteered with her growing cluster for Feed My Starving Children. In just one hour, they packed enough food to feed 26 children for one whole year! Is there a RI-area group that needs an hour of help from Go Au Pair? Your RI representative is here, ready and willing to organize our local international childcare providers.

Polina, from Philadelphia, has a large cluster who regularly finds volunteer opportunities is their city. Her au pairs and Host Families have fun and give back at their monthly cluster meetings.

If you are looking for volunteer opportunities in Rhode Island, or anywhere else, there is a great website I want to share. On VolunteerMatch.org you can type in your zip code and this website will let you choose causes or issues you might care about. It then generates a list of possible volunteer opportunities, and even emails you updates when new things arise! Naturally, Polina in PA is the one who turned me on to this site. Thanks!

I would love to see some of my Host Families and Au Pairs involved in something so meaningful. What do you say, folks? Contact me, Joan Lowell, your Go Au Pair LAR (Local Area Representative) in Rhode Island and surrounding areas, at 401.309.1925 or jlowell@goaupair.com. Visit us online and learn about savings up to 15% for local families!
