Hemenway's Kicks Off Fall with Oysters & Wine Flights and "Wine Down Wednesdays"

Executive Chef Max Petersen of Hemenway’s Seafood Grill & Oyster Bar, part of the Newport Restaurant Group, is celebrating the changing of the seasons by offering two unique promotions.

Hemenway’s Seafood Grill & Oyster Bar presents Oysters & Wine Flights and “Wine Down Wednesdays,” two weekly promotions designed to delight and satisfy while going easy on the wallet.

During the Oysters & Wine Flights promotion, offered Fridays from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Hemenway’s invites guests to have a seat at the raw bar and enjoy a selection of three oysters accompanied by a wine flight for only $20. The expert staff and master oyster shuckers will walk diners through the pairings in a casual yet informative atmosphere. Whether unwinding after work or catching up with a friend, these flights are the perfect way to “whet” your appetite before dinner.

Hemenway’s “Wine Down Wednesdays” promotion offers guests the perfect way to get over the midweek hump by enjoying a glass (or two) of their favorite wine for a fraction of the cost. Every Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., an extensive selection of wines by the glass are available for ½ off, including the Di Lenardo “Monovitigno” Pinot Grigio from Veneto, Italy, Ferrari-Carano “Fume Blanc” Sauvignon Blanc fron Sonoma, California, and a Catena “Vista Flores” Malbec from Mendoza, Arizona. Pair these wines with Chef Max Petersen’s delicious appetizers such as the famous Clams Casino or an Antipasto Plate for a delicious and fun evening.

Oysters & Wine Flights are available every Friday from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the raw bar. This promotion is not offered on December 18, Christmas, and New Years Day.

Wine Down Wednesdays occurs every Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
