John Harrison, 89

John Harrison, of Barrington, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013 at Evergreen House Health Center, East Providence. He was 89.

He was the husband of Charlotte (Whitt) Harrison. Born in Springfield, Mass., he was the son of the late Thomas and Alexandria (Soutar) Harrison.

He lived in Barrington for 86 years. A Navy veteran of World War II, he served in the South Pacific.

He worked at Manchester Silver in Providence, and Hope Plastic, and United Screw Company in East Providence. He was a member of Barrington United Methodist Church.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Reilly, and her husband John Reilly; one sister, Agnes Massey of Warren; and one brother, Emile Harrison of Maryland. He was the brother of the late Thomas, Walter, Charles, William, James Harrison, Ethel Picket and Jane LaBar.

Calling hours are respectfully omitted. The funeral and burial will be private at the request of the family.
