Some like jewelry, some prefer handbags, some like to be pampered with soothing body lotions, skin care products and fragrances, some favor clothing items, some prefer curling up with a good book after a hard day at work and some like to be taken out to eat.

It’s also true that many moms are partial to the idea of simple pleasures like spending Mother’s Day relaxing in a chair with their feet up while family members tend to the housework and cooking.

And children can elicit lots of smiles from their moms by making homemade cards or picking a bunch of pretty flowers from the garden.
