Learn to Row in Barrington
East Bay Rowing, Barrington's community rowing organization, will give you a taste of rowing on Hundred Acre Cove on Saturday.
You can get a chance on Saturday, June 2, to get a taste of rowing on Hundred Acre Cove in Barrington.
Saturday is National Learn to Row Day. And East Bay Rowing, the community rowing organization in Barrington, is participating in the event along with scores of rowing clubs all over the U.S.
From 8 am to noon, said Deb Sullivan, director of rowing, you can learn all about rowing on the water and with a rowing machine provided by WaterRower Inc. of Warren. Walker Farm just off of County Road is the location.

A Cornish Gig you might see on the Warren River will also be on hand, Sullivan said. It will share space with the fleet of East Bay Rowing skulls.
No rowing experience of any type is necessary, Sullivan said. Just come on out to Walker Farm and see what rowing is all about, she said.
