'Lemonade Mouth' Author Returns
Mark Peter Hughes, who grew up in Barrington, will lead a talk about his book, which has been made into a Disney Channel movie.
The author of the children's book, "Lemonade Mouth," made into a hit Disney Channel movie, will lead a talk at Barrington Books on Thursday, July 21, at 7 pm.
Mark Peter Hughes, who grew up in Barrington, will lead the first of a series of Summer Reading Book Club Nights sponsored by the bookstore. The nights are part of the bookstore's summer reading challenge, which will give away a free book to any child who reads 10 books up to August 27 – when the competition ends.
Tween, teen, and young-adult fiction authors will speak at each of the Book Club Nights.

Hughes will lead an interactive talk about the book, and will answer questions about what’s involved when a novel goes from the page to the screen. He also will sign copies of his book following the group discussion.
