Library Hosts Free Job-Skills Sessions

Learn to write a better resume and cover letter and how to ace that job interview.

The Barrington library, in conjunction with Ocean State Libraries, is offering free training sessions for people looking for a job or a new job.

The sessions will be led by Eugene Monteiro of Consolidated Consulting & Recruiting Services. He will cover writing strong resumes and attention-grabbing cover letters, as well as interviewing essentials.

The resume and cover letter workshops will be held on Sept. 13 and Sept. 20 at 9:30 am. The interviewing series will be offered on Tuesday mornings at 9:30 from Sept. 27 to Oct. 11.

A laptop computer is not necessary to attend these workshops but, if you have one, please bring it along. The library will have a very limited number of laptops available. Please inform the staff when you register if you would like to borrow a laptop. They will let you know if one is available for your use.
