Local Airman Completes Basic Training

Air Force Airman Lucas M. Skrobish, a 2008 Barrington High School graduate, has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Tex.

Skrobish is the son of Richard Skrobish of Orchard Avenue and Michelle Skrobish of Pawtucket. 

 The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills, according to the Army and Air Force Joint News Service. 

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force, the joint news service reported.
